I was in Norway last week, fro some rehearsals for an upcoming gig in London, UK, as part of the serious issues.
As in Trond K & the serious issues.
I hadn't seen Trond in a while so it was nice to spend a week on island on the way side of things.

After packing I had to take the bus up (since I'm all new-agy and don't have a car)

just noticed there is no escape!

As most of you know, I'm a resident housegnome at a couple of places here in town.
One of these places has started to record every gig and put videos out on youtube.
And then there's the audience with their smartphones taping "everything".
Not mouch wiggleroom for mistakes anymore...
And I find myself trying harder and being less lax about mistakes, it's keeping my knifes sharp, as you might say.

So I'm finally sitting here assembling a reccord for that duo I was talking about, that was heading down to Australia and such.

It'ß great fun to work with people that want things to be top-notch.
We had a weekend to record in a beautiful church, that I completely forgot to take any outside shots of.
It was 20 below and we kind of wanted to get started.
The directors were french, and was pleasant, but since I don't really speak french we had some interesting conversations along the way.

I now know what "I want to listen to ..." sounds like....

But wow; what a cut'n'paste job...

the end of a project always feels like christmas, or a visit at the doctors...
You know you're going to get a lollipop, but you just don't know if that lump in your armpit is a cancer or not...
anyways I had DHL at my door today delivering some test prints of the next reccord on my label.
