Gardening and other ways to watch stuff grow...

Spring has sprung here in sunny SoCal. I've spent some time digging out the weeds of winter, tilling in new fertile soil and planting new ideas and I look forward to seeing what grows this year.

Even a weed has an interesting cycle even though it offers no fruit or flower. Sometimes watching its pointless struggle can give pause to thought. It only asks for a bit of sun and water to complete its cycle in the season and in its inevitable withering still offers itself back to the soil. There's a bit of poetry in that small insignificant moment, maybe even a twisted metaphor about life.

That was a little drifty I guess, but I kicked off Easter weekend with adopted grandkids, great food and copious amounts of champagne followed by a nap that didn't quite stretch to Monday.

We have a new website!

After a few months of hemming and hawing about software and approach it kinda all came together this last month or so, largely due to the efforts of Cap'n Hook and Spock who deserve all the credit. All I did was lease some real estate and have an idea about creating a nice place to hang out.

So this is about my gardening analogy. We have a new planter with fresh fertile soil and it can grow into anything we want it to be. There's a cool chat, a clean forum and a streaming jukebox waiting for whatever anyone wants to put up. I searched long and hard for stripper poles but apparently no one's written that code in a usable form yet. I still think it'd be neat to have a card game going in the chat, but we'll get to that down the road.

In short, this place isn't about me, it's about you guys. Keep some beers in the fridge, take the fights outside and try not to wipe yer dick on the curtains. The recycle truck comes on Tuesday, don't make me gather it up every week. Toilet paper is in the pantry, feel free. That's a Hammond, not a coffee table. Yer fly is open dude.

Haha. Made you look.
